Donna Maree Hanson has been writing creatively since November 2000 and joined the CSFG in early 2001. She had stories in Machinations (CSFG Publishing) and Elsewhere (CSFG Publishing) and she co-edited Encounters (CSFG Publishing) with Maxine McArthur. Donna?s bibliography is here.
Donna is quite active in the local scene. She was the chair of Conflux, 43 Australian National Science Fiction Convention in 2004 and the chair of Conflux2, Canberra regional science fiction convention in 2005.
As well as some novel length manuscripts Donna has short stories published in other magazines-one even obtaining a special mention in Datlow and Windling?s Year?s Best Fantasy and Horror. Her latest fiction project, Dragon Wine, made the Varuna MS Development Awards Long List in late 2004. At present Donna is devoting her time to non-fiction with her current project, Australian Speculative Fiction: A Genre Overview to be published by her imprint, Aust Speculative Fiction in July 2005. This book showcases the speculative fiction scene from 2000-2005 and features articles/interviews with novelists.
Donna also edited and project managed Kaaron Warren?s collection, The Grinding House (CSFG Publishing, 2005).
